About Us
The Amenia Garden Club was founded approximately twenty years ago by a few avid local gardeners with a mission to promote a love of gardening, community engagement, and environmental responsibility. Since then, every summer, the Garden Club has offered summer open garden tours providing education, resources, networking opportunities, and entry into some of the areas most beautiful and innovative gardens.
As a community based organization, the Garden Club's foundational principle is to ensure donations are put to good use in our gateways, neighborhoods, and public spaces. As you drive through the Town in the late spring, you may notice daffodils, tulips, chionadoxa, and many other flowers dancing on the lawns of our residents. Many of these bulbs were provided to residents of Amenia and Wassaic by the Garden Club. In the summer of 2019, the Garden Club launched a new community beautification initiative in Borden Park. We hope this is the just the first of many years of community engagement projects.
